Materials

Materials

At ANI Jewels, every piece is designed to look like fine jewelry — without the fine jewelry price tag. We carefully select materials that balance quality, appearance, and value, so your jewelry looks and feels elevated from the moment you put it on.

Base Metals

925 Sterling Silver

Sterling silver contains 92.5% pure silver, giving it a bright, lasting shine and a solid, weighty feel. It’s hypoallergenic and unlike many fashion jewelry materials, it retains value over time.

Silver is a natural material that develops a patina with wear — this is completely normal and part of its character. A gentle wipe with a soft cloth is usually enough to restore its shine.

100% Recycled Brass

We use 100% recycled brass as a base for selected pieces — allowing us to create bolder, more sculptural designs while keeping the pieces accessible in price. Combined with gold or silver plating, it achieves a premium look and feel.

Brass is durable but can develop a natural patina over time, particularly with moisture exposure. Keeping it dry and stored carefully will help it maintain its finish.

Plating

14K and 18K Gold Plating

Our gold jewelry is crafted from a base of 925 sterling silver or recycled brass, finished with a layer of 14K or 18K gold for a rich, warm tone. This allows us to offer the aesthetic of fine jewelry at an accessible price — without compromising on design or feel.

Gold plating is a surface finish, and like all surface finishes it will naturally wear over time with contact to water, sweat, perfume, and friction. This is expected and normal for all gold-plated jewelry, regardless of brand or price point. How quickly this happens depends largely on how the piece is cared for — pieces that are kept dry and stored carefully will maintain their finish significantly longer.

Rhodium Plating

Selected pieces are finished with rhodium — a rare precious metal known for its exceptional brightness and resistance. Rhodium enhances the natural shine of the jewelry and adds a protective layer that helps the piece keep its crisp, luminous look over time.

Stones, Beads & Pearls

Cubic Zirconia

Cubic zirconia is a diamond simulant crafted from zirconium dioxide, valued for its exceptional clarity and the way it reflects light. It creates a bright, diamond-like sparkle at a fraction of the cost of a genuine stone.

Over time, cubic zirconia can become cloudy from contact with lotions and skincare products. Cleaning occasionally with a soft brush and lukewarm water keeps it looking its best.

Shell Pearls

Shell pearls bring a soft, luminous finish that captures the quiet elegance of traditional pearls — consistent in shape and refined in look. More uniform than natural pearls, they allow us to offer a polished, sophisticated look at an accessible price.

Pearls are more sensitive to chemicals than other materials — always apply perfume and hairspray before putting them on, and wipe gently with a soft cloth after wearing.

Glass Beads

We use carefully selected glass beads to bring color, depth, and character into our designs. Each bead is chosen for its clarity and smooth surface, creating a clean and distinctive expression.

General Jewelry Care

A few simple habits will help all your ANI pieces stay beautiful for longer:

- Remove your jewelry before showering, swimming, or exercising — water and sweat are the most common causes of wear
- Apply perfume, lotions, and skincare before putting on your jewelry, and let them dry completely first
- Avoid contact with cleaning products, chlorine, and saltwater
- Store pieces separately to avoid scratching — ideally in a pouch or the box they came in
- Clean gently with a soft, dry cloth after wearing
- Avoid prolonged exposure to heat or direct sunlight
